About Us
Maria Kontogianni - Founder, Producer
Maria Kontogianni has built her career on set since 2004, producing TV commercials and corporate events. In 2010, she established the Int/nal Film Festival of Patmos, and soon after moved to Berlin where she supervised 19 internationally awarded co-productions on the side of Twenty Twenty Vision and Pallas Film. In 2015, she returned to Greece to lay the foundations for multi-disciplinary film projects tailored to the digital era.
In 2021, she founded WILD AT HEART dedicated to producing original, author-driven stories with a “wild heart”; daring, emotionally resonant and culturally layered audiovisual works of unique cinematic vision that foster long-lasting collaborations between Greek and international talent.
She holds a BSc in Business Administration from the American College of Greece (2001) and a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Management from the EU Media Business School (2011).
She is a member of EFA (European Film Academy), HFA (Hellenic Film Academy) and SAPOE (Audiovisual Producers’ Association of Greece).
She is a Producer on the Move (Cannes IFF 2024) and an alumna of EAVE Producers Workshop 2025.
Elena Athanasiadou - Production Coordinator
Elena Athanasiadou studies architecture and then film direction. She gained her first professional experience in 2014 at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival working for the PR & Events Department. In 2020, she moved to the Ministry of Culture in Athens, acting as the minister’s press officer and social media strategist. In 2021 she stepped into film production. She has worked on the development of many feature films.
She was an assistant producer on the feature film Where We Live (2022) by Sotiris Goritsas and an executive producer on the short film Pigeons Are Dying When the City Is on Fire (2023) by Stavros Markoulakis which premiered at the Sarajevo IFF and was screened and awarded at major festivals, among them Clermont Ferrand ISFF, Palm Springs IFF, and Drama ISFF. She was also a post-production supervisor on the feature film Athens Midnight Radio by Renos Haralambidis (2024).
Elena is the Head of Program at the Greek Film Festival in Berlin and the Social Media Manager of the Festival. She is on the board of directors of WIFT GR (Women in Film and Television Greece). In 2025 Elena started collaborating with Wild At Heart as a Production Coordinator.
